The party was a huge success not just because we reached the Green Light but also because we experienced firsthand the level of friendship and support that this city has to offer. Contributions large and small were each an overwhelming blessing from you all, but even more than that, the fact that you all believe in us and this mission is so reaffirming. We can't wait to share more of our work with you.

Last night was pure fun! We saw Cecilia for the first time on a big screen amongst friends at the Gene Frankel Theatre in NYC for Secrets of the Deep: Dreams on Film. Thank you everyone who joined us, you made the experience unforgettable! Check out the article written up about the fest:

Our launch party for Maenad Films. What the f*&# is a maenad? We weren't exactly sure ourselves when we first started researching them. But the more we learned the more we realized that their untamed, unreserved, unrepressed nature represents the kind of women we like to celebrate. Dancing in the moonlight, laughing until we cry, crying until we laugh, championing each other, exploring new terrain, turning away from repressive systems in favor of freedom, liberation, ecstasy. It seems strange to say that this ancient archetype feels like such a new paradigm for women right now, but things move in cycles...And we are the new maenads.
Cecilia is officially wrapped! 🎉🎉🎉 What can I say, totally overwhelmed with the support and generosity of everyone who contributed, the talented folks who joined us on set, offered their services, locations and catering. We couldn't have done this without you all and we can't wait to share Cecilia soon!
